The Hatbox Ghost is a major Haunted Mansion ghost and one of the 999 happy haunts. He is also the deceased groom of one of Constance's husbands.
Biography[]
The Hatbox Ghost was a regular man with a top hat on top of his head and carries a Hatbox on his left hand. He once worked as a Hatbox seller in New Orleans Square, and became popular for the residents. However, Constance Hatchaway wanted all of the Hatbox Ghost's profits for herself.
She went to him, saying that he looked handsome underneath that top hat. He and Constance would go on to date for a year before becoming married near the Gracey Manor (The Haunted Mansion). They went on to live in the Mansion for the rest of their lives, until the Hatbox Ghost was killed by Constance. She would go on to place his lost head inside his Hatbox. However, she got killed since the Hatbox Ghost creeped up to her (with his head switching places, with each racing pulse of Constance's heart) and pushed her out the window.
He would go on to scare riders of the attraction and Constance would ignore him during the day shift and they would constantly fight.

Mario and Sonic go to Disney World: The Hatbox Ghost made a minor appearance in DaGamingSaurus' film. He was portrayed as the good guy, who would scare for a living.
The Haunted Mansion Series: The Hatbox Ghost was known as a Anti-Hero in the Haunted Mansion Series, as he sometimes helps and attacks Phineas, Ezra and Gus.
Sonic: The Haunted Mansion of Alola: The Hatbox Ghost will be a main antagonist in the film, alongside Constance Hatchaway.
